ENDOCRINE TUMORS AND DISORDERS
The Center for Endocrine Tumors and Disorders offers comprehensive, personalized care to patients (older children, adolescents, and adults) with thyroid conditions including thyroid cancer and benign thyroid nodules, hyperparathyroidism, osteoporosis, adrenal tumors, PCOS, and transgender medicine.
GASTROINTESTINAL AND HEPATOBILIARY TUMORS
The gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancer team includes specialists in surgery, medical oncology, radiation therapy, and pathology. We diagnose and treat colon and rectal cancer, primary or metastatic liver cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, fibrolamellar-hepatocellular carcinoma, stomach, esophageal, pancreatic cancers and other cancers of the gastrointestinal tract.
HEAD & NECK ONCOLOGY
Collaborating with the Pacific Neuroscience Institute, we work together to develop the most effective and patient-specific treatment plans through a multidisciplinary, team approach. We utilize the innovative technologies including robotic and laser surgery, image-guided radiosurgery, intraoperative nerve monitoring, and virtual surgical planning.
MELANOMA, SKIN AND SOFT TISSUE TUMORS
For more than 30 years, our team of doctors and scientists have been world leaders in melanoma research, therapeutic immunology, and innovative surgical approaches in treating skin and soft tissue cancers. We maintain a robust clinical trials program, setting standard melanoma treatment. With an outcomes-based approach and our multi-disciplinary team, we work to develop the most optimal treatment plan supported by our oncologists, pathologists, and scientists.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE CHEST SURGERY AND THORACIC SURGICAL ONCOLOGY
As a global leader in thoracic and lung surgery, we continue to improve our patient’s quality of life. By utilizing minimally invasive techniques and advancements in technology, including robot-assisted surgery and Video-assisted Thoracic Surgical (VATS) lobectomy, patients recovery in less time with fewer side effects. We treat more new patients with lung cancer than any other program in California.

The Neuroscience Center of Excellence provides advanced treatment for a variety of conditions including Gglioma, glioblastoma & Astrocytoma, Meningioma, Metastatic Brain Tumors, Schwannoma (Trigeminal And Vestibular), Craniopharyngioma, Chordoma, Cysts, Hemangioblastoma, Intraventricular Tumors, Olfactory Neuroblastoma (Esthesioneuroblastoma), Pineal Regional Tumors, and Spinal Cord Tumors.
Translational Research Departments
Our scientists investigate the mechanisms of underlying disease, working directly with clinicians to translate lab-based discoveries into personalized treatments. This bench-to-beside approach fosters a truly beneficial experience for our patients, which includes Translational Molecular Medicine, Neurosciences, Cancer Immunology, Melanoma and Cutaneous Oncology, Sequencing, Drug Discover & Nanomedicine, and Computational Biology departments.
UROLOGY AND UROLOGIC ONCOLOGY
Using a multidisciplinary approach, our experts offer comprehensive treatment plans and personalized recommendations for patients with urologic cancer and disorders. Through minimally-invasive treatment techniques and innovations, including robot-assisted surgery, patients recover with fewer long-term side effects, allowing them to return to normal activities more quickly.
