Dr. Sean Nassoiy obtained his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (NJ) and then completed surgical internship and residency training at Loyola University Medical Center. At LUMC he served as chief resident in the dept. of general surgery. Dr. Nassoiy spent two years as a research fellow in the Burn Shock Trauma Research Institute at Loyola University Chicago. During that time he completed a M.S. in Clinical Research Methods and Epidemiology. As a research fellow he published work focusing on fluid sparing techniques in hemorrhagic shock, and has a patent for the use of potassium channel inhibitors in the setting of various shock states. He has an interest in GI malignancy and has publications focusing on foregut and HPB cancer.
