The foundation funds novel and innovative programs that improve cancer patients’ outcomes and save lives through research, education, awareness and support.
The Foundation is a separate tax-exempt 501c3 that advances and supports the mission and goals of the Saint John’s Cancer Institute at Providence Saint John’s Health Center (PSJHC), and the Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI). As the chief financial engine, the Foundation contributes to state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, technology, programs, services and ground-breaking cancer research at Saint John’s Cancer Institute. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors and board of trustees whose leadership ensures that PSJHC, SJCI and PNI provide compassionate care, research excellence and cutting edge facilities for the community, presently and in the future.
This issue of Saint John’s, the magazine of Saint John’s Health Center Foundation, features a new design and a new mission. We’ve combined Saint John’s, Innovations and Brain Matters into one magazine, providing readers with one publication dedicated to highlighting the impact of philanthropy on our campus entities:
Providence Saint John’s Health Center
Saint John’s Cancer Institute
Pacific Neuroscience Institute
In each issue, we will bring you the latest news and compelling stories from each entity, highlighting the innovative work, nurturing care and dynamic people that distinguish Saint John’s. By showcasing stories about our caregivers, patients and plans for the future, we invite our community to support our Mission of providing exceptional health care and research.
